We found Helen on a specialist Facebook group for Persians and exotics. The service they provided has been amazing from day one! They communicated all the way up to us getting Bertie, they would send pictures and updates so we felt like we already new him when we got to Portsmouth to collect him. “Helen and John go above and beyond when it comes to breeding kittens. It is very apparent that they truly love their cats and would do anything for them. The kittens are beyond beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for more when I purchased Posy and Dandi from them. Their beautiful pets are so well looked after, and they ensure that all babies go on to equally loving and caring homes. I first heard of Porshalena exotics and Persians through pets4homes where I instantly fell in love with Harper. After an initial phone call, Helen was able to help support me in making sure this was the right decision for my lifestyle and providing me with all the information I could need. I was able to visit whenever I wanted and was kept up to date with pictures and updates all the way through. All the kittens were beautiful and had wonderful personalities! Ever since bringing Harper home, Helen and John have provided me constant support and have been checking up on us both. Gerald and I have known Helen and John for several years, and can honestly say they have always been extremely caring and loving towards the cats that they have exhibited. Recently we were able to visit Helen and John at home and it is very obvious that their cats (and small Maltese dog) are much loved and receive the best of care and attention. They are very aware of good husbandry with regard to the health and welfare of their queens and kittens.

It was obvious from the moment we met Helen and John how much care and effort they put into their kittens. They were so welcoming and allowed us time to sit with all of the kittens where we immediately fell in love with our Teddie. We were also lucky enough to meet Teddie’s mum and dad which was lovely. Helen and John are very knowledgable, answered all our questions and gave great advice which was much appreciated as we were first time cat owners.
Teddie has settled into our family with ease and this is down to the care, training and love that he was given from Helen and John. We are still in touch and know that we can go to them for advice if we need to.

It was a delight to meet John & Helen when we recently went to view their kittens.
Their attention to detail & the wellbeing of their cats was evident on arrival at their home.
We were allowed to view the kittens with their mother & every precaution was taken to ensure the health of the kittens during our visit.
We entered the kitten’s playroom.
It was such a wonderful sight to see all the kittens playing happily together.
We then spent time viewing the particular kitten which had caught our eye.
After meeting the father and mother of the kittens we made our decision.
Helen & John were delighted with our choice, a very lovable boy who we named Bentley.
Helen had prepared a special folder for Bentley with details about his pedigree, insurance, helpful tips on mealtimes, cleaning routines & grooming - This I found extremely helpful.Thank you Helen & John for our beautiful kitten Bentley, we know he will be a wonderful addition to our family.

We got our kitten from Porshalena 6 weeks ago and it has been a great experience.
Helen was extremely helpful before we went to pick up the kitten, advised us what to buy and was available for any small question's that we had.
When the time came to get the little kitten,
Helen took her time to explain everything to us, showed us how to clean her eyes and ears and everything else we needed to know. Our little girl is the most amazing, good natured kitten one can imagine.
She was well socialized, 100% litter trained and very sweet natured, which I am sure comes from the loving care she received in the first 3 months of her life and has become an integral part of our family.

On 25th October we made an 11 hour round trip to collect our beloved solid blue girl “Bluebell”, we were equally looking forward to meeting Helen & John, from the initial contact both Helen & John have shown to have a wealth of expertise, knowledge & passion in breeding these beautiful exotic’s.
In the run up to us collecting our girl Helen was always available on the other end of the phone to answer any questions we had, we were also provided with regular updates and pictures of Bluebell which made it even more special when we collected her as we felt like we knew her personality & had a good understanding of her needs.
On the day of collection, we were given all the advice we could possibly need on how to look after her eyes, ears, claws and general welfare. Its safe to say that Bluebell along with her siblings & parents were extremely well looked after & trained which shows in their kind natures & good behaviour.
We are still in regular contact with Helen to this day & enjoy sending updates & pictures of Bluebell living her best indoor life along with her adopted brother Percy (our other cat).
We cannot recommend these breeders enough and thank Helen & John for giving us the opportunity to own this little girl, she really is a special kitten and we hope to see you again in the future 😉

Firstly, I would like to say a ‘HUGE’ thank you for Helen and John for blessing us with our beautiful, Dolly. We are living through very strange times at the moment and we really didn’t think it would be possible to add another fur baby to our home – little did we know that Helen & John would make this possible for us. Throughout the whole process, we felt so welcomed in their home (virtually) and any questions we had, Helen was always on hand to answer our questions and concerns. Due to COVID-19, the process was not as it would normally be, however, with that being said we felt our experience was so special. Helen and John made us feel so welcome when we went to collect Dolly, all COVID-19 safety procedures adhered to and we even got to meet their beautiful family of exotics and Persians (at a distance of course). Helen had prepared a lovely gift bag, kitten insurance and a folder full of helpful tips for Dolly – which was super helpful! Dolly has the most beautiful markings, has an amazing temperament, and has settled into the family so well. Even her brother, Teddy, has accepted her and loves her a lot!! We are extremely grateful and could not be happier.

I cannot recommend Helen and John enough. I bought my little Mable during covid-19, so things were a little different. But the communication was impeccable throughout the process and Helen was always available at the other end of the phone for any questions I had. It was clear to me that Helen adores her babies and takes every possible measure to ensure that the kittens are well looked after and loved and that they will be moving on to a loving home. I have had Mable for 6 weeks now and I couldn't be happier.
She has the most wonderful temperament and I have had no problems with her settling in to her new home.
I will most definitely be coming back to Porshalena Exotics & Persians when I am able to add a second lovely kitten to my home.

We were looking for a while to find the right breeders and then we found Helen and John
Immediately we knew we'd found the right one. They were so lovely and helpful and wanted us to have the kitten we were looking for.
We communicated regularly, during which Helen gave us all the advice we needed, from grooming, helping to introduce our kitten to our older cat, support with food and more. Helen has been extremely helpful before, during and after we collected our beautiful boy Pickles.
We have had our boy for 6 weeks now. He's everything we could wish for and more. He is so beautiful, gentle, has the most lovely temperament and is such a character.

We feel so lucky to have found Helen and John.
From my first phone call with Helen, We could tell that she really cared about all her cats and kittens and where she homed them.
We visited Theo and fell in love straight away! He was clearly very well cared for and she ensures all her kittens are well socialised and handled. Within two days he was with us! He settled in so well and loves his food, again I believe this is all thanks to the care and attention they get with Helen.
She also ensures they are microchipped, health checked, fully vaccinated and neutered/spayed before they leave so they have no stressful vet visits on arrival and the new owners can just get on and enjoy their fluffy babies!
Theo really is the easiest and happiest cat and Helen is always on the end of the phone to answer any questions we have. In fact we have become friends and regularly chat, email and send photo updates of Theo.
I would highly recommend speaking to Helen before you look anywhere else!

We are very picky about who we choose our cats from - after researching, it was clear that Helen and John care so deeply about their kittens and making sure they go to the right homes. We had a few chats with Helen to make sure we were the right people for our new little man, and to make sure he would fit in with the cats we already had. We really appreciated how responsible they are as breeders, and how they made sure that everything was exactly right with timing and our kitten’s health.
They really went above and beyond in every way possible, from their communication both before and after, meeting us half way as they are based a fair distance from us, to the toys and grooming products they gave us alongside our little man. We are absolutely over the moon with him, he’s such a happy, confident and healthy bundle of joy with such a big personality! In December I adopted a persian boy from Porshalena and could not be more delighted with my beautiful big boy Teddy! Through the whole process Helen was friendly and very pleasant to deal with.
You could tell she really cared about the cats and wanted to make sure they went to the best homes possible. Teddy is a stunning persian with the densest fluffiest coat, huge beautiful round eyes and so sturdy - a real showstopper.
